I'm a pretty solid size 10, and ordered a 10L. Length was great, slim fit in the thighs (GOOD) but zero stretch in the waist, which made them a big tight until I wore them a few days. yes, pockets are ridiculous, better get a fanny pack :) The denim is thin, but they washed up well, the long fit fine at 5'9" but they're not LONG like some jeans. Overall, if they go on sale, I'd for sure buy another pair.
