Very nice, large, sturdy basket. I just wish they would’ve sent the color that I ordered. I saw other reviews that received the wrong color. I guess the seller just sends whatever they want & think we won’t care or notice. I did notice & do care, but am I going to go through the hassle of calling/sending back, reorder (prob at a higher price), & likely get the wrong color again because it seems to not matter to seller/whomever fulfills the orders? NO. The light beige is nice. Maybe I’ll just paint it white myself……This item arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The only issue is that I ordered white and received natural instead. The carton it was packed in said "white," but the color inside was not. It's OK - I am very happy with the natural color anyway. It looks very good where I've placed it, in a spot where it will double as storage and as a small side table. Very pleased with the purchase. I would suggest that the shipper check inside the box to make sure it is the color indicated. I don't mind, but others may need a specific color. It is sturdy enough sit on -- I already tried it -- and will hold a lot of whatever you may want to store inside.Very sturdy and excellent quality. This is probably the nicest looking basket I've ever owned. It's definitely the strongest. The water hyacinth encases a metal (feels like steel?) cage, and the lid is made the same way - it truly is sturdy enough to use as a seat or a table. I stash blankets and pillows in mine to keep the living room looking tidy, and use it as an extra side table when needed. I'd consider it something of a must have for small spaces, given its multi-functionality. You have an extra seat, a small table, and a storage/stash basket all in one!Worth every penny if you're considering this basket. It's beautiful and large enough to hold a queen size quilt/throw blanket.I use it for pillows sometimes as well when football is on lol.I have lots of this material in my home, and if you're a first time buyer of water hyacinth the odor fades mostly!We needed a basket to house miscellaneous toys in the living room to replace a PB basket that more or less just fell apart. After conducting a very thorough review of all options in this size range chose this one, and it was an excellent choice. It looks great and is incredibly sturdy. Kids can sit and stand on it and it’s fine. Looks great and has a lot of storage room. Expensive, but worth it.I had planned to use this beside a chair in the master bedroom for a little extra storage. I liked that it had a flat lid to set a coffee cup or book on. But the scent was intolerable. When I unwrapped it, I thought it would fade with a bit of airing. I took it out of the bedroom into the hall, but within hours my husband was wheezing and coughing, having quite a severe allergic reaction to it. Too bad because it was nice-looking.We really love this basket! But it is so costly. It also has a slightly strange smell that my pillows inside picked up but dissipated eventually. It is really sturdy and great size but contemplated on whether to return because of the price. But ultimately we decided to keep it and glad we did.
